Where Is God When Things Go Wrong?

Wow...last night I discovered a FREE book on the web, called "Where Is God When Things Go Wrong?" by John Blanchard. You can go to the Evangelical Press website and view the entire book as a PDF file (you need Acrobat Viewer to view it, most computers have this already installed).
I even printed out the book on my trusty laser printer so I could read it in comfort. Its a very thought provoking book indeed, and bang up-to-date relevant (even makes reference to the recent Tsunami disaster in Asia).

If you would rather buy this book, it is only available as a 10-pack (ideal for home group study or church use). You can buy it here: Where Is God When Things Go Wrong - John Blanchard

Intro

Hi to anyone that somehow finds this blog!

I thought I would get a blog going that keeps folk up to date with what Christian books and Christian music I am into each week.

Me: My name is Andy Rigby, I live in Haslemere, Surrey UK. I became a Christian about 10 years ago (I am 48 now). I won't bore you with all that "it changed my whole life" stuff. But it did. Period.

I play guitar and sing, and write a few songs. I used to do a lot of that stuff when I was a teenager, but it all faded away when I got into my twenties. It took an experience of God to wake up all those sleeping gifts and get me back to playing and writing again. Now I lead worship in our local church (St Stephen's Church, Shottermill).

Recently I decided to quit my regular job so that I could concentrate on running my Christian books and music website "Christian Bits" and also devoting more energy to my worship leading and songwriting. Its a scary time, but I feel that God is watching me very carefully, and He knows my heart and where all this is taking me.

What kind of music do I listen to? Loads! 10 years ago it was Graham Kendrick that kicked it all off, nowadays its people like Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Watermark, Delirious and Hillsong. Oh, and throw in a little bit of Kate Simmonds, namelessmusic, Rex Allchurch and Russ Hughes.

Well, that's a bit about me. As I discover new albums and new books I'll post my thoughts on here.
